A truly unique week of camp designed with the camper's creative desires and gifts in mind. This week of camp
offers instruction in the areas of drama, singing, preaching, technical graphics, art, video, instrumentation
(guitar, drums, etc...) and other gifts one would use in a worship experience.
Fine Arts Camp Objectives:
1. To further strengthen the students' personal relationship with the Lord.
2. To prepare leaders for the local church.
3. To develop student's current talents for acts of worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
4. To expose students to new activities and discover new talents.
Who should come to Fine Arts Camp?
1. Students entering 10th grade --- college-aged students.
2. Students who already have a relationship with Jesus and are maturing in their relationship with Him.
3. Students who have talents/interests in the worship arts: instrumental and vocal music, creative
writing, drama, drawing and painting, graphic design, preaching, and worship technology.
4. Students who are committed to spending a week seriously focused on worship and Bible Study.
Students must be willing to delve deeper into learning about Jesus, others and self.
5. Students must be recommended by a youth minister and /or preacher.
Fine Arts Camp Snapshot -
Daily schedule will include 3 elective classes in the worship arts. Two of the classes should be in the
areas in which the students have knowledge; the 3rd class should be some think in which the
students have an interest, but may have never had a chance to try before.
Teachers will be "experts" in their fields to help instruct the students with their knowledge and
experience.
We will have an "artist-in-residence" during the week. This will be a person who is currently serving
as worship leader, praise team leader, lead instrumentalist, etc... This person will design the
worship services for each night, and the final worship service for guests on Thursday night.
Each Vespers service will incorporate student learning from the week. The campers will be the
singers, accompanists, and tech designers. The preaching will be Christ-centered, relevant and
challenging to all. The preaching will lead into small group discussion time.
Fine Arts Camp will in many ways be like the traditional weeks of camp that many have experienced
but in other ways it will be different. Like other weeks of camp, this week will be a fun-filled and LIFE
changing week for our students and staff. If this is something you would like to attend, please pray
about this opportunity and if God is opening a door for you to attend, please fill out a camp
registration form ( you can download one online at MCSC.html), plus a personal testimony form and
a minister recommendation form from your youth minister or youth sponsor, preacher, or church
